Applied Magnets® 8 Strong Neodymium Hook Magnets 5/8"
Neodymium magnets are the world's strongest magnets.
Magnets Are Not Toys! Applied Magnets offers the highest quality Neodymium magnets with consistent performance and lowest price. Our Neodymium magnets are designed and manufactured to meet stringent quality standards using the latest technology. Neodymium magnets (also known as Neo, NdFeB, NIB or Super Magnets), a type of rare earth magnets, are the permanent magnets made from Neodymium, Iron, Boron and other minor elements. Strong Neodymium Magnets N42, stronger than N40, N38 and N35. BrMax: 13200 gauss. Nickel-Copper-Nickel triple layer coated for maximum Neodymium magnets durability and protection against corrosion.
- Applied Magnets neither assumes nor accepts any liability for damages resulting from the handling or use. With your purchase, you confirm that you have read and understood the following warnings; the buyer agrees that he/she is responsible for all damages and injuries caused by the magnets, which include personal injuries, property damages and magnet damages. The buyer must agree with the terms before purchase. Pull force we provided is estimate only. We are not responsible for any inaccuracy of magnet pull force. (Please test the pull force before any usage.) Neodymium magnets are very, very strong.
- Neodymium magnets are brittle; they can be broken or can splinter in a collision. One should wear gloves and protective glasses when handling these magnets, because splinters and/or spacers could disengage and fly from the magnets. (This is true with all Magnets)
- The strong magnetic fields of Neodymium magnets can damage pace-makers or other bodily implants, keep a minimum of 3 feet distance.
- Children should not be allowed to handle Neodymium magnets as they can be dangerous. Small magnets pose a choking hazard and should never be swallowed or inserted into any part of the body.

Expected 24lbs pullOct 14, 2011
This is definitely not 24lbs pull. I can barely lift a soup can if it is centered exactly in the middle of the can. It gets points for a strong hook and that it's threaded so it can be easily replaced. Price-wise it's also better than the 5 Neodymium Hook Magnets which goes for $21. They're currently being used on the side of my fridge to hold up some utencils. They aren't strong enough to hold up my 3 quart pan and small saucepan which is what I bought these for. If you connect two together then it seems more like 24lbs pull.

Many usesJan 16, 2012
These Neo magnet hooks are great for MANY applications. I have them in the workshop, kitchen, my locker at work, and my locker in the fitness center. Very strong but slide down a vertical surface when significant weight is applied. I just put a film of 100% silicone caulk on the back to keep them from sliding - works like a charm ! All in all, a great product !

High Quality, but keep your expectations realistic.Jul 09, 2013

I bought these to hang some Calphalon utensils and a couple of potholders on the side of my fridge, and for this purpose they're ideal. The hooks themselves are nicely finished, the hook itself screws into the base, and the magnets provide a substantial grip, even on the side of my textured steel fridge. They will securely hold one utensil or potholder per hook, though your utensil should have a wide enough slot or mounting hole as the hooks feature a large curve which might prove difficult for smaller-holed utensils to navigate.
They won't hold a pot, or a pan, or multiple utensils, at least not in a side-mounted position, which is how most of us will use them. Just keep your expectations realistic, and these should serve you well.

Order something bigger.Apr 03, 2014

Weak sauce. If you're here because you want some strong magnets and the price is right, look out. These are not nearly awes strong as advertised. Works best upside down, will hold one sweatshirt. The hooks stick very strongly to one another, not as well when adhering to metal.
